Bruaca recipe

What is bruaca? Many Brazilians don't know the word because it refers to a traditional sweet pancake from the northeast. This pancake is prepared with the same ingredients as a simple cake, such as wheat flour, milk, sugar, egg and butter, but it is made very quickly in the skillet.

Here we show you how to make sweet bruaca with powdered milk, a slightly different variation of the traditional recipe and very tasty! Discover all the details of this recipe for bruaca with powdered milk below, as well as the step-by-step photos. Prepare to serve for breakfast or lunch and we bet that everyone at home will like it.

Ingredients for making Bruaca with powdered milk:

6 tablespoons of unleavened wheat flour

 4 tablespoons of powdered milk

 4 tablespoons of sugar

 1 tablespoon of margarine

½ cup of water (120 milliliters)

 1 egg

How to make Bruaca with powdered milk:

Beat all ingredients in a blender or a bowl until you get a smooth and slightly liquid dough.

Tip: If the dough is too thick after beating, add a little more water.

Heat a skillet greased with a drizzle of oil and ladle the dough into it. Spread over the skillet and cook over medium-low heat until consistent. Then turn and wait to finish cooking.

Remove the powdered milk bruaca to a plate and prepare the remaining dough in the same way. Serve your bruacas hot, with a coffee or other drink of your choice, and let us know what you think in the comments. Enjoy your food!
